This house was built in 1902. We have lived here since October 1, 1997. The house is located in the settlement Frem, but is not an original Frem house that belonged to the building association. The Frem houses were built a little earlier in 1899, as housing for workers in industry and crafts, which at that time lacked labor and housing. Arbejdernes Byggeforening "Frem" was established on January 24 and on January 29, 1899, a founding general meeting was held. The intention of the individual members was to own a house, and when they joined together in an association, it was partly to be able to share the costs of lawyers and craftsmen etc., partly to save architectural fees by building the same houses and partly to obtain cheaper loans, as the joint and several obligation gave the lender greater security. In addition, there was the moral support of being united in an association.

We live in Kongens Lyngby, which is one of the towns in Lyngby-Taarbæk Municipality. Living in "Frem" is like living in a village in the middle of a big city. We are located almost in the center only 534 meters as the crow flies to the town hall and 886 meters to Lyngby church, which was built in the 1100s in Roman style. The area of the municipality is 38.78 km² and we are as of 2020 56,214 inhabitants. The mayor is Sofia Osmani from the Conservative People's Party.
